Valencia, 9 March 2025 – The second day of the Fallas 2025 Fair featured a non-picador novillada with young bulls from José González, which generally offered opportunities for the novices. With a third of the arena occupied, all six participants displayed commitment and a desire to prove their worth, delivering moments of fine bullfighting.

Marco Polope, representing the Valencia Bullfighting School, faced a first novillo with nobility and mobility. Polope made the most of the bull’s quality, crafting a poised and measured performance in which his refined technique and natural bullfighting stood out. He finished with an effective sword thrust and secured the first ear of the afternoon.

Clovis, from the Béziers School, delivered a determined performance against his first bull, which showed a touch of fierceness. He endured some awkward moments but managed to extract well-structured passes, particularly excelling with his right hand. A full sword thrust sealed his effort, earning him an ear.

Ignacio Garibay, from Madrid’s Yiyo School, demonstrated his excellent understanding of bullfighting. Against his first opponent, he produced aesthetically pleasing sequences, drawing long and deep natural passes. Though his sword thrust landed slightly off-target, the crowd petitioned for an ear, which was duly awarded.

Meanwhile, Nicolás Cortijo, Manuel Fuentes, and El Mosti also left positive impressions. All three acknowledged the crowd’s applause after performances that contained moments of quality, though they fell short of securing trophy-winning displays.
